Our Story
We are a minority-owned business enterprise for general contracting construction management. UCS is an existing construction firm which provides services in the areas of painting, drywall, tuck pointing, concrete, carpentry, sandblasting, steam cleaning, residential and commercial remodeling. Residential experience includes: single family dwellings, nursing homes, and apartment complexes. Commercial experience includes: schools, retail spaces, office buildings and churches.
Mission
UCS has been in the Construction Management/General Construction business in the Chicagoland area since 1983. Our company has contracted and managed remodeling jobs for corporate clients, state, federal and city governments. The jobs undertaken during the past two (2-4) years have varied from small to big.
Experience and Dedication
Universal Construction Services (UCS) was incorporated in the State of Illinois in October 1983 by its founder and Vice President, Omar Sharif. Under VP Shareef's leadership, UCS has established itself as a strong competitor among Chicago construction firms. In addition, Mr Shareef brings years of experience when he pursues bid opportunities. He is an extremely well-connected person and has personal contacts with Business, Industry and Government Officials. Mr. Shareef is the President of the African American Contractors Association (AACA), dedicated to minority business development.
